Originally from Van, where he still lives, Ömer Faruk discovered boxing at thirteen through a friend. That introduction opened a path that gradually became central to his life.
He describes regaining confidence with his coach, Özkan Oğuzyer, after a defeat. At Power Boks, that relationship helps him continue developing patiently. He favours a long-range style inspired by the Soviet school of boxing.
