Yusuf first loved football. Discovering Adem Kılıççı and Anthony Joshua drew him towards boxing, and he began training with Arda Tamer Avcı at Fenerbahçe. His account describes a gradual change from imitating a favourite champion to developing his own boxing, helped by experienced teammates and coaches.
Support from a sponsor helped him continue when the costs of training became difficult. He later worked closely with Tunçay Varol and his son Berkay. In 2025, meeting Barış led to a professional contract with Tunal and a move to Thailand. His story shows how coaching, sparring and practical support can shape a fighter’s opportunities.
