Anuary Mlawa
Date of Birth: 02 February 1999
Place of Birth: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
My journey is one of change, resilience and liberation. I was born and raised in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. I completed my primary education in 2013. After completing my studies, I decided to get involved in mechanical engineering and joined a garage to gain working skills

However, life took a turbulent turn. The environment around the garage exposed him to the harsh realities of street life gambling, alcohol, and an undisciplined lifestyle. Despite working, the influence of that lifestyle began to wear him down. Seeing the danger and the decline, my father decided to remove me from that environment for my safety and my futute

This marked a turning point. My father chose to stay home and reform my life. He enrolled me in a Madrasa, to devote my time to the teachings of the Holy Quran. In 2015 I moved from Mbagala where I was living with my father and went to Mwananyamala to stay with my grandfather. That year was very spiritual for me, as I spent a lot of time sharing and spreading the word of God in the community and with the children in the college.

A new chapter began in 2016 when I met Idrisa, a boxer on my grandfather’s street who convinced me to join boxing training. With Idrisa’s advice and support, I agreed. I entered the world of boxing. The sport came to give me discipline, structure, and a new sense of purpose. I trained hard, I gained strength, technique, and the support of many who believed in my efforts that I would reach the top

But growth was not without obstacles. Between 2017 and 2018, I faced tough challenges both inside and outside of training. After getting involved in street boxing, a serious injury forced me to take a six-month break to recover. Worried about my well-being, my father, upon hearing that I was injured, once again discouraged me from boxing..

It was after months that I received a heartfelt visit from Idrisa that things changed once again. Idrisa spoke to my father advocating for me to return to training to learn more but this time through another Dojo. I was introduced to a certified boxing coach, thus marking a new beginning in my journey as a disciplined athlete and aspiring to become a Champion.

In 2019, I was allowed to return to training and rejoin my teammates. I came back with determination, ready to work harder than ever. It was during this time that I met a coach named Salehe Mkalekwa — a man who saw potential in me that I hadn’t yet seen in myself

Coach Salehe approached me with humility and purpose. He asked me to be his teacher – and I said yes. Under his guidance in 2020, I started training at his home to become more like a boxer and a man ready for work. Through him, he introduced me to Coach and Promoter Super D.

Super D welcomed me happily and said: Are you ready to fight. I told him I was ready we started training right away, but despite our hard work, the entire year of 2020 passed without a match. It was disappointing. But coach Salehe reminded me not to give up, it’s a difficult start. Keep fighting. Continue training

Then came the blessing. On February 6, 2021, Allah opened the door. I played my first professional game in my first pro game. The match was a spark that ignited the fire of my work. That year, I fought five matches, I did well every time I saw the beginning of something bigger in the future

By June 2022, I was back in the ring and I had my first loss. It hurt. Deep down
Many people were disappointed, and I was heartbroken. But the people around me especially my coach reminded me:
This is just the beginning. Get back on track. Fix what’s broken. Keep going
So I prayed and thanked God. I took a week to get my mind right and get my mind right, then I got back into training.

At the same time, I got a job selling spare parts for used cars. My days were full: Morning training in the afternoon work at night training again that’s how I lived – driven by enthusiasm and discipline and patience

In November 2023, I was offered a match. I informed my boss, a rich man at work, about it, he challenged me and he gave me the choice to choose your job or choose boxing and I told him I chose boxing my passion. My purpose then I returned home the next day I started going to work hard, and I came back strong on December 23th, and a good win

Then, on January 24, 2024, I got another match – and I did great. My confidence returned. My work reigned in the Tanzania Industry of Boxing

After the January fight, I received a call from my friend Abdallah who is in Canada. We talked about boxing. Then he said to me:
Talk to this guy Dervis Frolent he can help you
I took the number but hesitated to call him at first. Days passed. Abdallah called me and asked me if I called him and I told him no Abdallah said to me
Don’t be afraid, tell him then
I did so and reached Bro Dervis and we started communicating.

Dervis listened to me with understanding and asked me questions and I answered him like a champion. He told me to be patient. But it wasn’t easy. But I stayed without hesitation. After a while, he connected me with his partner, Mr. Reyes
We talked. He trusted me. He accepted me
On May 5, 2025, I officially signed with Tunal Academy & Promotion under the supervision of Mr. Dervis and Mr. Reyes. That day made me very happy because I saw a big change in my life. I thank God I felt happy

My journey had truly begun.
Gratitude and Hope
I have walked a path filled with struggle, sacrifice, and silent prayer.
I lost. I won.
But through it all I never stopped believing.

And now I am in a great team, with guidance and vision, helping young people achieve their dreams and goals, with God on our side And the Best Is Yet to Come Allah’u Akbar

My professional boxing journey has just begun, and every day I move with a purpose: to rise, to improve, and one day reach the pinnacle of the sport. With unwavering discipline, relentless hard work, and deep belief, I am committed to turning this dream into a reality But I am not walking this road alone. I stand with a team I trust – united by trust, respect and a shared vision. Together, we believe in something bigger than just winning. We believe in proving that anything is possible when you combine heart, passion and belief

My dream is to become a world champion. And it’s not just a goal it’s a mission. A journey of physical, mental and personal growth, all in the pursuit of becoming the best version of myself
